Abstract

The global fashion industry is currently at a critical juncture, facing immense sustainability challenges due to the massive accumulation of textile waste generated by the linear consumption model, which necessitates an urgent transition toward a circular economy. This study aims to analyze the development of the re-commerce concept in supporting circular economy practices in the fashion industry through digital platforms in Indonesia. The methodology used is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) evaluating scientific literature from the 2015-2025 period focusing on the interaction between digital infrastructure and fashion product circularity. Research findings demonstrate that re-commerce serves as a determinant instrument in product value recovery through R3 (Reuse) and R7 (Repurpose) strategies, which maintain higher value retention compared to recycling processes. Additionally, e-commerce technical infrastructure acts as a catalyst that enhances transparency and efficiency in the redistribution of preloved products within the domestic market. The implications of this research affirm that the integration of re-commerce business models into digital platforms is vital for extending product lifecycles and achieving Indonesia's national circular economy targets.
