Abstract

Background: Digital transformation has brought significant changes in the way technology-based organizations operate, particularly in improving the effectiveness and efficiency of employee performance. These changes require organizations not only to adopt new technologies but also to ensure human resource readiness through adaptive leadership and adequate digital competencies. However, in practice, there remains a gap between the implementation of technology and employees’ ability to utilize it optimally. Objective: This study aims to analyze the influence of transformational leadership and digital literacy on employee performance in technology-based organizations. Method: This study employs a quantitative approach with an explanatory design, involving 150 employees of technology companies as respondents. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire, and the analysis was conducted using Structural Equation Modeling Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) to examine the relationships between variables simultaneously. Results: The findings indicate that transformational leadership has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Similarly, digital literacy is proven to significantly contribute to improving work productivity. Furthermore, both variables simultaneously explain a substantial proportion of the variance in employee performance, indicating that the combination of effective leadership and digital competence is a key factor in enhancing organizational performance. These findings imply that organizations need to develop integrated strategies focusing on strengthening leadership and improving digital literacy to address challenges in the digital era.
